The Amazing Incarnation
Immanuel. God with us. Who became one of us. Who died for us in order to save us. Who reigns for all eternity as King.
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel,” (Isaiah 7:14, ESV).
Immanuel (also spelled Emmanuel) is the Hebrew word - עמנואל. It is split into three parts:
With עמ (em)
Us נו (nu)
God אל (el)
So it means “God with us.”
