U.S. Senator Ben Sasse is right, cameras are responsible for the collective "jackassery" seen Congress, let's hope the Supreme Court avoids that.

I wanted to address a tangential issue brought up during today's hearing.

I noticed this afternoon that U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, R-Neb., was trending on Twitter. He's a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The first thing I noticed was a clip going around where he commented on cameras in the court.

Sen. Sasse (R-NE) says he believes it should be up to the Supreme Court to decide if cameras are allowed in the courtroom, adding: “I think we should recognize the jackassery we often see around here is partly because of people mugging for short-term camera opportunities."

"I think it should be a decision for the Supreme Court to make about whether or not there are cameras in the courtroom, not a decision for the Article I branch to make for Article III," Sasse said.
