Iowa Caucus Poetry?

The nerd in me was interested if ChatGPT could write different styles of poetry about the first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucus.

If you have spent any time on the internet you have experienced artificial intelligence (AI) primarily in the form of bots.

Last night, I had my first foray using ChatGPT, and I wondered how well can AI write poetry.

I asked it to write a haiku about yours truly, here is one poem it spit out (I am sharing screenshots as I can’t seem to get the formatting right using Substack):

All of the poetry was centered around my writing since that is what is public. Here’s a limerick:

I was both flattered and a little creeped out at the same time. Then I asked it to write a sonnet:

I died laughing… Of course I had to share this on social media.

Today I wondered how well could it write poetry, utilizing different styles, about the Iowa Caucus. The nerd in me wanted to find out since we have entered the 2024 Iowa Caucus season.
