U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was on Fox News last Sunday to discuss his opposition to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court.
As someone who wants strict constructionist/originalist justices on the Supreme Court, I understand entirely opposing her nomination. However, instead of digging into her judicial philosophy and talking about that, Cruz instead attacked public defenders.
Look, Judge Brown Jackson has problems, but the fact she was a federal public defender is not one of them.
Cruz not only smeared her service as a public defender, but he also smeared all public defenders.
