The Hunter Biden plea deal announced on Tuesday reeks of favoritism, but is it?

Well, for starters, an American Bar Association report released this year stated 98 percent of federal criminal cases end in a plea bargain. Seeing an actual criminal trial in federal court is pretty rare.

Sometimes defendants feel railroaded into making a plea deal because prosecutors load up charges, and they are advised that the plea bargain is a better deal and going to trial is a crap shoot.

No doubt about it, Hunter Biden was offered a good deal. It should be noted that the U.S. Attorney in Delaware, David Weiss, was appointed by President Donald Trump and was kept on specifically to handle the investigation into Hunter Biden.
