Demanding unity over non-essentials
Far too many Christians not only withhold charity toward brothers and sisters in Christ, but demand unity over non-essentials.
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.”
This saying, often attributed to Augustine of Hippo (354–430), reflects a biblical truth regardless of who said it first.
