Almost fifty years of prayers answered

Praise God that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey so the people and elected representatives can address the moral stain of abortion.

It seems surreal. It still has not quite sunk in that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey on Friday.

Their opinion is an answer to prayer, and I am so thankful to God that this day has finally come.

The people and our elected representatives can now address the moral stain of abortion that has taken the life of at least 63 million unborn children since 1973.

"We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely—the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. That provision has been held to guarantee some rights that are not mentioned in the Constitution, but any such right must be 'deeply rooted in this Nation's history and tradition' and 'implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.' The right to abortion does not fall within this category," Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the five-member majority.
